In the last 6 months alone G2 ENERGY have been directly involved in the commissioning of over 18MVA of renewable developments with extremely challenging lead times. In addition G2 has supported a number of high profile national companies with the commissioning of approximately 60MVA of renewable energy schemes.

Clients come to g2 design for extraordinary architectural design work developed through a highly collaborative process. Our design teams support each client’s unique vision and framework of needs lending our approach to excel in personal communication and support throughout each project we undertake.

We have a dedicated skilled CAD resource with a variety of services to offer to the customer. This can range from the generation of electronic 2D CAD drawings from paper copies through to the production of 3D rendered images and ultimately the creation of walk-though movies.

DNO Grid Connections

 

The majority of g2 Projects staff were formally employed by various regional DNOs and as such come with a wealth of experience and knowledge on how the distribution networks are operated and managed. This allows us to consider all available connection options, challenging the network owners ensuring the least cost option is always consider and offered to our clients.

g2 Projects will liaise directly with the DNOs to ensure and agree that the best engineering solution at the right budget is progressed. Using Lloyds Registered, NERS accredited contractors, will complete all 'contestable' elements of a DNO connection to minimise costs whilst building the connection to the stringent DNO specifications.

Using in house Senior Authorised Persons (SAPs) and competent craftsmen (CPs) up to 33kV, will complete all installation, testing and commissioning of electrical infrastructure including protection scheme commissioning, with particular regards to G59 interface protection schemes on renewable generation projects.

Bespoke engineering solutions and interface arrangements will be presented to the network operators and agreements reached on sub station and switch room designs to meet project specific requirements
g2 Projects also work directly for a number of the regional DNOs and for the National Grid, having authorised staff that can work on the licensed distribution networks at all distribution and transmission voltage levels.
